Buried With His Stick Tee
The Haudenosaunee didn't just play lacrosse. They were buried with their stick. Not as a symbol. Not as a gesture. Because they believed...
The first lacrosse fields didn't have lines, sidelines or stands. They were open land. Goals stood anywhere from 500 yards to 6 miles apart, and the game ran right through whatever was in between, rivers, trees and hills included.
Matches could put hundreds of players on the field at once, sometimes a thousand or more, and games went from sunup until dark, sometimes for days. Nobody was getting subbed out.
The Original Field tee maps it out like an antique 1700s surveyor's chart, with two wooden sticks crossed over the title, goal posts at each end and one long dotted path of play winding between them. It honors where the game began, long before the field shrank to 110 yards.
Next time someone complains about running a full field, show them this one.
